Historical archaeological and cultural heritage in Kotagede's area as the previous capital city of Mataram Islam Kingdom in year 1578 are the origin of Kraton Kasunanan Surakarta and Kasultanan Yogyakarta are important to be preserved. We must conserve the existency as Invaluable Cultural Heritage, so that we can use it as a learning tool to understand the past culture.

Preserving cultural heritage and developing better local economy are needed to revive Kotagede's Cultural Area after the earthquake.
