PT. INDONESIA KEBANGGAANKU is founded to develop the spirit of. Indonesian people, to be grateful and proud as one nation, Indonesia. Building self-confidence and pride to our country is a must, because lately Indonesia has gotten an inadequate reputation internationally. This situations were created by individually or group of people in different social and politic aspects, such as: corruption, social conflict, terrorism, law violation, human's rights, etc, which also happened in some other countries. In other words, the situations happened not all because of Indonesian acts, attitude and behavior.

There are many things that belong to Indonesia that cannot be found in other countries. The long history of the first nation began by the founding of the first kingdom called Kutai, continued with the victory of Majapahit kingdom, Dutch colonial and Japan. These history can be called as a unique process and we should be proud of. Different Indonesian cultures, such as Sangiran people site, Borobudur and Prambanan temples has been written in the World Heritage List. In year 2003, Indonesian' Wayang Kulit has been acknowledged by UNESCO as the Masterpiece Heritage of Humanity. A music instrument called Gamelan is also expanded to Europe and United States. On 25 November 2005, UNESCO has announced Indonesian Keris as: A Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.

Many kinds of flora and fauna has placed Indonesia as the second country that has biological varieties after Brazilia. From about 183.000 kinds of flora in the world, 37.000 kinds are in Indonesia. Komodo National Park, Lorenz National Park, and Sumatera Tropical Forrest are also written in World Heritage List. Beside the above, there are many Indonesian comodities that has been sold in international market, such as: automotif spare-parts, electronics and IT, software, tea, coffee, coconut, medicinal herbs, etc. The achievement of Indonesian students as the Runner-Up in Physics Olympic in May 2005 also brought pride to Indonesia. In November 2005, other Indonesian elementary school students also reached 18 medals in Mathematics and Science Olympic. This event was participated by students from 12 countries. There are many things that Indonesia can be proud of. Because of that, we have to change Indonesian perception to become more objective, starting from ourselves by being proud to be an Indonesian.

The reasons above has strongly strengthen the believe to found PT. INDONESIA KEBANGGAANKU to promote many Indonesian cultural masterpieces via books publishing or other activities. As the first step, PT. INDONESIA KEBANGGAANKU published book titled "KERIS JAWA, Antara Mistik dan Nalar." The purpose of publishing this book is to develop pride to our own creation. We hope that this effort will be supported from all people, so that together we can bring Indonesian dignity up internationally. The English version will be published in September 2006.
